Chicken Souvlaki

Chicken Souvlaki

2 chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Greek seasoning
1 lemon, thinly sliced
Salt and pepper

To serve:
Pita bread
Diced cucumber
Diced tomato
Sliced red onion
Tzatziki sauce

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, and Greek seasoning. Add cubed chicken and toss to combine. Let chicken marinate while you make Tzatziki sauce.
  2. After making Tzatziki sauce, skewer chicken pieces with a piece of lemon skewer between every two pieces of chicken. Salt and pepper chicken skewers.
  3. Heat grill over high heat. Once grill is hot, place skewers down and let grill on one side, about 5 minutes or until skewers release easily from the grill.
  4. Turn skewers over and grill on other side until chicken is cooked fully and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.
  5. Remove chicken from skewers and place a few pieces of chicken in each pita. Top with lettuce, tomato, and cucumber and enjoy!

Tzatziki Sauce

1 cup greek yogurt
1 lemon, juiced
1/3 cucumber, grated
2 tablespoons minced dill
1 tablespoon minced chives
1/2 tablespoon minced parsley
Salt and pepper, to taste

1. Combine greek yogurt and lemon juice. Add grated cucumber and stir. 
2. Add herbs to cucumber yogurt and stir. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  • Upon arrival, you will sign in and have your temperature taken at the front desk. Any guests with a temperature over 100 degrees will be asked to go home.
  • You will be required to wear a face mask and gloves during the prep and cooking segments of class. You will be allowed to remove your face mask once you are seated at a dining table.
  • Please wash your hands upon arrival and after touching your phone, your face, door handles, and other surfaces outside of the kitchen.
