How much does it cost? Is financing available?

Becoming a pastry chef involves a mix of creativity, skill, and practical experience.  While formal education isn’t always mandatory, it can significantly enhance your chances of success.  The 6-week Baking & Pastry program with SLICE provides hands-on experience, exposure to industry standards, and networking opportunities.

You can obtain an Associate’s Degree in Pastry Arts in approximately two years enrolling full time in a traditional college.  Or, if you want to get started on the Pastry Arts path as quickly as possible, you can attend the 6-Week Accelerated Professional Baking & Pastry program with SLICE and test out in only 6 weeks!

Becoming a pastry chef can be a rewarding and fulfilling career choice. If you have attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for baking you’ll have a lifelong career that you love. Possible career options include working as a pastry chef in restaurants, hotels, bakeries, or even starting your own business. You could also specialize in artisan bread making, or other specialty retail shops.

Your health and safety are extremely important to us.

We are taking every precaution to ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen and classroom environment. We regularly clean and disinfect our facility throughout the day and class sizes are currently limited to practice proper distancing. All staff is required to wear a face mask. We are doing everything we can to keep our guests and SLICE team safe, and are asking for your help with these additional precautions:

  • Upon arrival, you will sign in and have your temperature taken at the front desk. Any guests with a temperature over 100 degrees will be asked to go home.
  • You will be required to wear a face mask and gloves during the prep and cooking segments of class. You will be allowed to remove your face mask once you are seated at a dining table.
  • Please wash your hands upon arrival and after touching your phone, your face, door handles, and other surfaces outside of the kitchen.
