Each class is about 3 hours in length, including time for cooking and dining. You’ll learn directly from professional chefs through a mix of demonstration and hands-on cooking. 

Our classes are tailored to accommodate all skill levels – from beginner to professional chef – and everything in between.

Each class is about three hours long. This includes about two hours of hands-on cooking and about thirty minutes to an hour for enjoying your culinary creations.

Each International cooking class is themed around a specific cuisine. Maybe you’ll explore Indian, Korean, Mediterranean or other regional dishes. Details on the specific menu for each class can be found in the class description.

Not at all! Our Cooking Classes are designed to accommodate all skill levels, from beginners to experienced home chefs.

The cost for a Cooking Class is typically $100 per person. This includes the cooking class, all ingredients, and the dining experience. Prices may vary depending on type of class and cuisine, so be sure to check the class description for pricing when you go to sign up. 

Each class typically accommodates up to twelve guests to maintain an intimate, personal experience.

Yes, we do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies if communicated at the time of registration.

Yes, everything you need for the class, including pre-measured ingredients and cooking tools, is provided.

Please arrive in comfortable, closed-toe shoes as you will be standing and cooking for the majority of the time. We also recommend tying back long hair. Aprons will be provided.

Absolutely! You can purchase a specific class if you know which class the recipient wants to attend. Simply include their name and email address at the time of registration. Alternatively, you may buy an online gift certificate for them to choose their preferred class.

Each class requires significant planning and preparation in advance. Therefore, all purchases are non-refundable. However, you may reschedule for another available class if you notify us at least 72 hours in advance. If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your scheduled class, Salt Lake Culinary Education will not provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed.  If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone in your place.

No need! Part of the experience includes enjoying the meal you prepared. So, come hungry!

Your health and safety are extremely important to us.

We are taking every precaution to ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen and classroom environment. We regularly clean and disinfect our facility throughout the day and class sizes are currently limited to practice proper distancing. All staff is required to wear a face mask. We are doing everything we can to keep our guests and SLICE team safe, and are asking for your help with these additional precautions:

  • Upon arrival, you will sign in and have your temperature taken at the front desk. Any guests with a temperature over 100 degrees will be asked to go home.
  • You will be required to wear a face mask and gloves during the prep and cooking segments of class. You will be allowed to remove your face mask once you are seated at a dining table.
  • Please wash your hands upon arrival and after touching your phone, your face, door handles, and other surfaces outside of the kitchen.
