Culinary School Near Logan, UT

If there is one thing people can agree on, it’s food. Certainly everyone has their own palette with unique likes and dislikes—one man’s vanilla is another man’s cayenne—but there is something universal about a love of food.

Food makes life a little sweeter (or spicier, as the case may be). It also brings people together during its preparation and consumption. It connects people in many ways, and the goal of our culinary school at Salt Lake Culinary Education is to do just that.

As ubiquitous as an affinity for food is, how people like to experience it varies from person to person. With this in mind, we have created a service base that has a little something for everyone, from a professional cooking course to catering services.

A Professional Touch culinary school

For those looking for a dedicated culinary school for learning everything from the basics to a personal culinary flourish, Salt Lake Education is here for you. We offer a 12-week professional course with nationally recognized certifications at its end. Specializations in either general cooking or baking and pastry are available.

The course is more than just a series of cooking classes. Our students are given professional instruction and hands-on kitchen experience as well as internship experience in working kitchens and networking opportunities with professionals in the industry. Those hoping to start a career in cooking develop and hone all the skills they need for the task.

Just a Taste

If you want to become a better cook but aren’t looking for chef status, Salt Lake Culinary Center can help. Every month we offer unique stand-alone cooking and baking classes at our culinary school. Come with friends or bring a date and learn how to make the perfect pies, artisan bread, or authentic ramen.

We also offer rentals or events if you are looking for something a little more personal. Our spacious kitchens are available to book as a venue, and if you want us to come to you, we can turn any family reunion or corporate event into an unforgettable experience.

If you prefer to eat good food but have someone else get the messy apron, never fear, catering is here (or wherever your event is). To enjoy a wonderful evening without the stress of food preparation, coordinate with us on what you would like served. It’s a way to go above and beyond without adding to your to-do list.

Our culinary school provides many kinds of culinary educational and catering opportunities:

  • Private Events
  • Corporate Events
  • Reception and Rentals
  • Competitions
  • Online Cooking Classes

Logan, UT Culinary School culinary school

A picturesque community about 80 miles north of Salt Lake City, Logan, UT is the county seat of Cache County. The city is considered a safe part of the state, especially for those looking to settle down. Its biggest hazard may be snow in the winter months as the valley at large is known for greater snowfall than that of other metropolitan areas in Utah.

Though Logan almost has too much charm to be considered a college town, loyalties to Utah State University runs deep as the main campus enrolls about 20,000 students each year. Since 1888, Aggies have received higher education amidst beautiful old world-like buildings and cheered for athletes wearing their colors. Visitors should stop by Aggie Ice Cream, USU’s creamery. The squeaky cheese is not to be missed.

Beyond campus, Logan has a lot to offer. The city library, established during World War I, contains over 200,000 items available to check out. The small local zoo, Zootah at Willow Park, is located in, yes, Willow Park. Guests have the opportunity to observe more than 40 different species up close.

Those who love the outdoors love Logan Canyon for its hiking, camping, rock-climbing, hunting, fishing, canoeing, snowmobiling, and skiing. Patrons of the arts frequent the Ellen Eccles Theatre for its opera, ballet, and theater performances, showing everything from community theater to national touring companies. Both come together to enjoy The Summerfest Arts Faire, a festival held every year on the Logan Tabernacle grounds over Father’s Day weekend.

Why Choose Salt Lake Culinary Education?

Truly, Salt Lake Culinary Education is a culinary school unlike any other. The sheer variety of services we offer sets us apart, as does our love for the people we work with. It’s why we’re willing to take our show on the road to Logan, because we want you to have good food and cooking opportunities accessible to you.
