Bacon Fat Chocolate Chip Cookie

School is back in session! When kids spend their day working hard at school, they deserve a great piece of happiness when the bell rings! It’s all about supporting their growth, fueling their passion, and giving them the ultimate after-school treat to reset and recharge.

Bacon Fat Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes 3 dozen cookies

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 2  tbsp. room temperature bacon fat
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups chocolate chip cookies

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
  2. In a stand mixer: cream the butter, bacon fat, brown sugar, and sugar.
  3. Mix in the eggs, one at a time, then add the salt and vanilla.
  4. Add the flour and baking soda, mix until dough forms.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Spoon the dough by rounded tablespoon onto three parchment lined baking sheets. Bake for 12-16 minutes until just barely golden on the edges. Remove and let cool on baking sheets before removing to wire rack.
  7. Enjoy!

  • You will be required to wear a face mask and gloves during the prep and cooking segments of class. You will be allowed to remove your face mask once you are seated at a dining table.
  • Please wash your hands upon arrival and after touching your phone, your face, door handles, and other surfaces outside of the kitchen.
