Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl
Ingredients:
1 pound fresh sashimi-grade ahi steak, chilled and cut into 1-inch cubes*
1 and ½ tablespoons soy sauce, plus more to taste
1 tablespoon sesame oil
¾ teaspoon Hawaiian salt, plus more to taste
2 small shallots, thinly sliced
½ cup chopped green onions, green parts only
¼ teaspoon sambal oelek
Steamed rice, for serving
Thinly sliced cucumber, for serving
Thinly sliced radish, for serving
Thinly sliced avocado, for serving
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine the cubed ahi, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, shallots, green onions, sambal oelek, and gently toss with your hands or a spoon. Season to taste with additional salt or soy if necessary.
2. Serve over rice, garnish with fanned cucumber, fanned radish and avocado slices, and enjoy immediately.
