Wine & Charcuterie: A Guided Tasting with Communal Brands

Wine & Charcuterie: A Guided Tasting with Communal Brands Sept 18th

Friday, September 18th

Join us for a relaxed evening of wine, food, and discovery as the experts from Communal Brands guide you through a thoughtfully curated tasting featuring wines from France, New Zealand, and Italy.

Throughout the evening, you’ll taste five distinctive wines while learning how grape variety, region, acidity, body, and winemaking style influence what’s in your glass. Each wine will be enjoyed alongside a generous selection of charcuterie and chef-prepared small bites designed to demonstrate how food can complement, contrast, and even transform the way a wine tastes.

Whether you already love wine or simply want to feel more confident choosing a bottle for dinner, this approachable tasting is all about discovering what you enjoy and understanding why certain food and wine combinations work so beautifully together.

Wine & Charcuterie: A Guided Tasting with Communal Brands Sept 18th

Wines We’ll Taste:

Jacky Marteau Lulu Sauvignon Blanc
A French Sauvignon Blanc that offers a delicious starting point for exploring freshness, acidity, and the way bright white wines interact with food.

Otto’s Constant Dream Sauvignon Blanc
A New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that provides the perfect opportunity to compare how the same grape can express itself differently depending on where it is grown.

Herisson Rosé
A lively French rosé that bridges the gap between white and red wine and demonstrates just how versatile rosé can be at the table.

Otto’s Constant Dream Pinot Noir
A New Zealand Pinot Noir showcasing the lighter, more elegant side of red wine and the pairing possibilities that come with bright fruit and balanced acidity.

Il Faggio Montepulciano
An Italian red with greater richness and depth, offering a wonderful contrast to the lighter wines earlier in the tasting.

What We’ll Be Serving

Our culinary team will prepare a variety of charcuterie and hot appetizers to enjoy throughout the tasting, including:

  • Lemon Goat Cheese Crostini
  • Coconut Shrimp with Sweet Chili Lime Sauce
  • Compressed Watermelon with Feta
  • Mushroom & Gruyère Mini Tartlets
  • Mini Chicken Parmesan
  • A Curated Charcuterie Selection

As you taste, we’ll explore why a bright Sauvignon Blanc can come alive alongside tangy goat cheese, how rosé can complement unexpected flavors, and why Pinot Noir and Montepulciano open up an entirely different range of possibilities with savory dishes.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll leave with practical tips for tasting and pairing wine with greater confidence, including how to recognize the roles of acidity, sweetness, tannin, body, texture, and flavor intensity when deciding what to pour with a meal.

Most importantly, this isn’t a formal wine lecture. It’s a fun, social Friday night built around great wine, delicious food, and the chance to taste, compare, ask questions, and discover a few new favorites.

Perfect for a date night, an evening with friends, or anyone who wants to learn more about wine without the intimidation.
