Bring your appetite and your competitive spirit—this high-energy culinary class is all about mastering one of the most iconic crowd-pleasers: chicken wings. In The Great Chicken Wing Showdown, guests will dive into the techniques, flavors, and finishing styles that transform simple wings into standout game-day (or any-day) dishes.

Working hands-on in teams, participants will learn multiple cooking methods for achieving perfectly crispy, juicy wings, from oven-roasted to fried and sauced. You’ll explore a range of global flavor profiles—sweet heat, smoky spice, tangy glaze, and savory umami—while building your own signature wing sauces from scratch.

The class culminates in a friendly tasting showdown where every group presents their creation, comparing textures, seasoning balance, and overall flavor impact. It’s part technique workshop, part flavor lab, and all about bold, messy, delicious fun.

You’ll leave with a toolkit of wing-cooking methods, customizable sauce formulas, and the confidence to run your own wing night at home.

If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your scheduled class, Salt Lake Culinary Education will NOT provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed. If this circumstance arises, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
