Junior Chef Latin Summer – August 1st

In this exciting Junior Chef class, kids will prepare a menu inspired by the bold flavors and festive spirit of Latin cuisine. Along the way, they’ll practice kitchen skills, discover new ingredients, and create dishes that celebrate the rich food traditions of countries across the region. Whether they’re trying something new or enjoying a favorite flavor, this class is a delicious way to spend a summer day cooking, creating, and having fun in the kitchen.

Junior Chef Menu:

  • Latin Style Tomato and Corn Salad
  • Steak fajitas w/ Chimichurri
  • Fresh Hand Made Tortillas
  • Mexican Flan

*Class is for Junior Chefs ages 9 and up!
*Please be on time, wearing closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair.

*Junior Chef Class is $100 per ticket. Gratuity is not included. The option to add a gratuity for your chef instructors and our team is available at your discretion.

*Please note:  All purchases are nonrefundable.  Our cancellation policy requires 72 hours’ notice to reschedule your reservation.  If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your scheduled class, Salt Lake Culinary Education will NOT provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed.  If this circumstance arises, you are welcome to send someone in your place.

Your health and safety are extremely important to us.

We are taking every precaution to ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen and classroom environment. We regularly clean and disinfect our facility throughout the day and class sizes are currently limited to practice proper distancing. All staff is required to wear a face mask. We are doing everything we can to keep our guests and SLICE team safe, and are asking for your help with these additional precautions:

  • Upon arrival, you will sign in and have your temperature taken at the front desk. Any guests with a temperature over 100 degrees will be asked to go home.
  • You will be required to wear a face mask and gloves during the prep and cooking segments of class. You will be allowed to remove your face mask once you are seated at a dining table.
  • Please wash your hands upon arrival and after touching your phone, your face, door handles, and other surfaces outside of the kitchen.
