Fire up the grill and kick off the season with a high-energy, hands-on workshop celebrating the art of BBQ. This experience is all about great food, backyard vibes, and even better company—bringing people together in a relaxed environment where you’ll grill, laugh, and enjoy every step of the process. Whether you’re gathering with friends, planning a unique date night, or simply looking to sharpen your outdoor cooking skills, this class feels just as much like a summer cookout as it does a masterclass in smoke and fire.
On the culinary side, we take a polished, technique-driven approach. You’ll learn how to master both the grill and smoker, focusing on heat management, wood pairings, seasoning techniques, and achieving the perfect glaze. From classic BBQ favorites to professional-level methods, you’ll gain the confidence to execute a flavorful, well-crafted outdoor feast every time.
We’ll finish the evening by gathering around, sharing the meal we’ve created, and enjoying the atmosphere together—because great barbecue is about more than just cooking; it’s about bringing people together around incredible food.

*Please note: All purchases are nonrefundable. Our cancellation policy requires 72 hours’ notice to reschedule your reservation. If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your scheduled class, Salt Lake Culinary Education will NOT provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed. If this circumstance arises, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
