Junior Chefs! Knife Skills – September 21st
This Junior Chef Knife Skills Class is an essential cooking class for kids. This course is all about equipping Junior Chefs with the skills to wield a knife expertly, execute razor-sharp, controlled cuts, and ultimately become more self-assured and skilled in the kitchen.
In this class, they’ll whip up a quick and delicious recipe using the ingredients they’ve chopped, and the best part? They’ll get to savor the scrumptious meal they’ve prepared by the end of the class. Here’s a sneak peek into the intriguing topics they’ll delve into:
- How to choose the right knife
- How to keep a sharp edge on a chef knife
- How to properly grip a chef knife
- Fundamentals of knife work – slice, dice, mince, and more with a chef knife
- Cook a simple meal from the ingredients used in class
*Please be on time, wearing closed-toe shoes.
*Class is for Junior Chefs ages 9 and up!
*Junior Chef Class is $100 per ticket. Gratuity is not included. The option to add a gratuity for your chef instructors and our team is available at your discretion.
*Please note: All purchases are nonrefundable. Our cancellation policy requires 72 hours’ notice to reschedule your reservation. If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your scheduled class, Salt Lake Culinary Education will NOT provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed. If this circumstance arises, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
