How to Toast Nuts and Seeds
Ingredients:
1 cup whole or chopped nuts or seeds
Stovetop Method:
Place nuts or seeds in a medium skillet over medium heat. Stir frequently and try to keep them in an even layer if possible. Once nuts or seeds are aromatic and beginning to turn golden in color, remove from heat and transfer to a plate or bowl to cool.
Oven Method:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place nuts or seeds on a baking sheet and transfer to preheated oven. Stir every 3-5 minutes and try to keep them in an even layer if possible. Once nuts or seeds are aromatic and beginning to turn golden in color, about 10-15 minutes, remove from heat and transfer to a plate or bowl to cool.
