Join us at SLICE on Friday, November 8th for an unforgettable evening of French cuisine and wine. This immersive tasting experience features a four-course menu crafted by our chef and paired with wines selected by SLICE’s wine consultant — each course designed to showcase the harmony between flavor, technique, and terroir.

Guests will enjoy a live cooking demonstration alongside curated wine pairings selected by our chef and SLICE’s wine consultant. Throughout the evening, we’ll explore the flavor profiles of each wine — discussing how they complement the dishes, what makes them unique, and how to identify the subtle notes that bring each pairing to life.

Menu Preview:

  • Duck Confit-Stuffed Potato Croquette
    Golden potato croquette filled with tender duck confit, nestled atop vibrant beetroot purée. Finished with microgreens and a drizzle of herb oil.
    Paired with Elysee Blanc de Blancs
  • Sole Meunière
    Delicately pan-seared Dover sole, finished with brown butter, fresh lemon, and parsley.
    Paired with Vincent Bourgogne Blanc
  • Filet au Vin Blanc en Croûte with Lobster Velouté
    Beef filet wrapped in wild mushroom duxelles and herb-infused puff pastry, served with lobster velouté and seasonal vegetables.
    Paired with Mary Taylor Anjou Blanc
  • Poached Pear & Almond Frangipane Tart with Saffron Crème Chantilly
    Pâte sucrée filled with almond frangipane and Bordeaux-poached pears, served with saffron-infused crème Chantilly and citrus blossom syrup.
    Paired with Vallier Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux

*Please note: All purchases are nonrefundable. Our cancellation policy requires 72 hours’ notice to reschedule your reservation. If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your scheduled class, Salt Lake Culinary Education will NOT provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed. If this circumstance arises, you are welcome to send someone in your place.

We regularly clean and disinfect our facility throughout the day and class sizes are currently limited to practice proper distancing. All staff is required to wear a face mask.   • Upon arrival, you will sign in and have your temperature taken at the front desk. Any guests with a temperature over 100 degrees will be asked to go home.
  • You will be required to wear a face mask and gloves during the prep and cooking segments of class. You will be allowed to remove your face mask once you are seated at a dining table.
  • Please wash your hands upon arrival and after touching your phone, your face, door handles, and other surfaces outside of the kitchen.
