Turn up the heat and bring the energy of live-fire cooking to your next date night. In this hands-on class, you and your partner will learn how to master the grill while creating a bold, flavor-packed surf & turf menu designed for sharing.

Guided step-by-step, you’ll explore techniques for building deep, smoky flavor—from perfectly grilling steaks to layering spice, char, and brightness across each dish. Along the way, we’ll focus on timing, temperature, and balance so everything comes together seamlessly.

Together, you’ll create:

• Grilled Romaine Caesar with Charred Lemon & Parmesan
• Coffee-Rubbed Ribeye with Steakhouse Finishing Butter
• Cajun Smoked Shrimp
• Charred Corn with Shallot & Herb Butter

Expect a lively, social atmosphere with plenty of hands-on cooking, approachable instruction, and a few chef tips to elevate your grilling game at home.

We’ll end the evening by sitting down together to enjoy your creations—because great food is even better when it’s shared.

*Date Night Tickets are priced $225 per couple. One purchase = two seats.
*Gratuity is not included. The option to add a gratuity for your chef instructors and our team is available at your discretion. 

*Please note:  All purchases are nonrefundable.  Our cancellation policy requires 72 hours’ notice to reschedule your reservation.  If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your scheduled class, Salt Lake Culinary Education will NOT provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed.  If this circumstance arises, you are welcome to send someone in your place.
