Teen Chef Academy I

Join us to discover the joy of cooking while having a blast along the way! Teen Chef Academy I is a multi-date series that is modeled after our professional culinary institute. In this class, your teen chef will experience a taste of culinary school. We offer a fun and hands on experience where they can learn the art of cooking from experienced chefs in a supportive, creative environment. Our classes are designed to inspire your teen to explore new flavors, master cooking techniques, and gain confidence in the kitchen. This course will introduce young chefs to culinary concepts, kitchen basics and fundamental techniques. Plus, they’ll have the chance to meet other passionate young chefs and create delicious dishes that will impress family and friends.

Course curriculum includes but is not limited to the following: knife skills, vegetable preparation, fresh fruits, flavorings, stocks, sauces, handmade pasta, hors d’oeuvres, amuse bouche, appetizers, meat and egg cookery, baking and pastry, and international cuisines.

Teen Chef Academy will include six different 5-hour day classes, a graduation ceremony, a chef coat and beanie, as well as all of the curriculum/learning materials in a customized binder. Best of all, celebrate the incredible journey of your young chefs at the Teen Chefs Graduation Ceremony. They will get to invite their friends and family to come enjoy a taste of the delicious things they’ve learned to make!

Teen Academy classes will be held on the following dates from 11 am – 4 pm:

January 25th
February 22nd
March 22nd
April 19th
May 3rd
May 17th – Graduation day!

*Teen Chefs will prepare for graduation from 11 AM – 4 PM and the celebration will be held at 4 PM. Each Teen Chef can invite 4 guests.

• Teen Chef Academy is for Teen Chefs ages 13-18.
• Please be on time, in comfortable attire and closed-toe shoes.
• Teen Chef Academy is $1,175. Gratuity is not included. The option to add a gratuity for your chef instructors and our team is available at your discretion.

*Please note:  All purchases are nonrefundable.  Salt Lake Culinary Education will NOT provide refunds, credits or class transfers for classes missed.  If this circumstance arises, your teen will be provided with all materials for the missed class.
